The Special Issue is in honor of Professor Frédéric Lebon, celebrating his remarkable contributions to multiscale asymptotic technique in solid and structural mechanics, on his 65th birthday. Featured are recent advances in multiscale asymptotic methods in solid mechanics, including new research directions. These methods relate local and global behaviors across length scales and identify key mechanisms in complex systems, bridging microscale phenomena with macroscale properties. High-order analysis often reveals insights missed by simpler approaches.
